When people see a palm tree, they typically think of relaxation, vacation, and retirement.
I’ve loved palm trees for as long as I can remember. I’ve loved them so much that when I was 12 years old and saw a woman with a butterfly tattooed on her shoulder, I said to my Mom I’m getting a tattoo of a palm tree on my ankle when I’m 18.
Well, when I came one day at the age of 18 and said to my Mom, “guess what?” She said, “you got a palm tree tattoed on your ankle.” She was right.
In my older and wiser years, I”ve contemplated why I love palm trees and here is what I’ve come up with…
As you may (or may not) know, my Dad & I had a strained relationship growing up. I didn’t get a lot of positive attention from him. However, my Dad insisted that we take a family vacation every year. Typically our vacations were to a beach and that included, you guessed it, palm trees!
For one week a year, I was able to be with my family without the normal distractions that caused my Dad stress. If I were a betting woman, I’d bet this is where my love of palm trees comes from.
The reason I added a bluebird to my logo is for all that bluebirds symbolize:
I chose a sunset for the backdrop because that is my most favorite time of day. 🙂
